We have a few females in the household that enjoy having fun without all the hassles and rigor of being a queen, although Shadow swears she is the 'queen' of the house -- she is the Alpha female.

Pinecoon's Moonshadow

   These two girls are very special. They were our first two registered Maine Coons -- litter sisters from Betsy & Dave Tinney of Pinecoon (Washington state). Both are silver torbies.

    Shadow is the dominant, or alpha, female in the house. Tiffany, on the other hand, was the first to make kittens or new additions feel welcome and besides, she even loved the puppy, Crystal Blue - a blue merle Sheltie.

SmokeyCoons Sister Sarah "WeeWee"

    Sister Sarah is a very special little girl. At 3 weeks of age she developed a neck abscess which required four surgeries over the next 4 weeks of her life. This little girl was a fighter -- she never gave up. Because of all the early trauma, she never got very large, thus the nickname "WeeWee".  In spite of everything she went through early on, she is now an elegant shaded silver. Wyndabbey Calypso of SmokeyCoons

    Calypso is a gorgeous brown torbie girl that we got from our good friends, Guy and Abbey Jones some years ago. She was born on March 4, 1999 and her parents are: QGC Talltails Mozart of Wyndabbey and Wyndabbey's Macarena. This girl is very sweet and loves to sit on your lap. She's a real purr kitty. She isn't very large but is extremely sweet with tons of coat. She had one litter of 3 kittens and told us from the get-go she didn't want to be a mom. She was spayed a few months later. We tried re-homing her once and it didn't work out so she is a permanent resident at our home.
 

SmokeyCoons Tiramax "Scooby Doo"

    Tiramax, affectionately called "Scooby Doo" was born on May 15, 2003 -- six days premature. She is out of SmokeyCoons Maximus and Avicats Tiramisu of SmokeyCoons. Because of her premature birth and probably some problems in utero, she has some neurological problems -- ones that we never felt we could burden someone else to deal with. So, she is a permanent resident at our home. She actually loves playing 'nanny' to the coonlets. She is very gentle with them and them with her.
