What Are You Looking For?

bulletCompanion / Pet -- as the name implies, a companion/pet may have a few, small conformation faults that would preclude them from doing well in a 'show' situation but still has the wonderful purrsonality and temperament of the Maine Coon. These make the ideal companion.

SmokeyCoons companion kittens are not allowed to go to their new homes until they are 14-16 weeks of age -- healthy with current vaccinations, micro-chipped identification and altered (spayed or neutered).

bulletShow Alter -- many people have a competitive nature and enjoy the show ring but aren't interested in breeding. In this situation, the cat has been altered prior to release to their new Owner(s), but has the temperament AND conformation to the breed standard to be competitive in the show ring. If you are interested in a show alter, contact us to discuss this possibility further.

bulletBreeder -- While this sounds like the ideal situation, breeding is NOT for everyone. Only on a 'RARE' occasion will SmokeyCoons agree to let a cat/kitten go as a "whole, intact" animal. This is done only after we have been assured the new home is prepared for cat breeding. An extensive breeder questionnaire is required by SmokeyCoons prior to consider releasing a kitten/cat as a 'breeder'. A special adoption contract is also required. If you are interested in a 'breeder', contact us to discuss this possibility further. Also, check out the "Favorite Related Sites" page -- it lists a number of sites regarding cat breeding.
