Last updated: 10 Aug 2007 (Check back from time-to-time as this page will be updated periodically. Also check the "What's New Pussycat?" page for planned breedings.) Since we're a 'small' cattery that produces 1-3 litters per year, we have a limited number of kittens available. On occasion, we will place adults (retired breeders or show alters) in very special homes. NOTE: Please be patient. This page will take a few moments to load. All Kittens have been placed! We are happy to announce that Wistariantale Amore of SmokeyCoons delivered 5 beautiful babies on Tuesday, November 14th, 2006. Bred to SmokeyCoons Alejandro "Alex", all are brown classic tabbies. There are 4 girls and 1 boy, All are thriving. Amore is a wonderful mother. All of the kittens are tentatively spoken for. However, if availability changes we will post that on our website. Kittens are pictured at 15 weeks of age. Armani Gina

Carina Our Next Planned Breeding will be: RW, QGC Woodpile LightMyFire of SmokeyCoons & RW, SGC SmokeyCoons Alejandro Planned breeding in late Fall 2006/early Winter 2007 No Rescue Cats Available At This Time! When we can, we rescue abandoned kitties and assist in getting them forever homes. We get them altered (spayed or neutered), get them current on their vaccines, make sure they are healthy, and then find them indoor homes where they can live a long and healthy life.
We also currently have one young adult available for adoption:
SmokeyCoons Chaparral "Chappie" Chaparral is a very beautiful Silver Classic Torbie and White girl who was born on August 6, 2004. She has outstanding type and has a great show temperament and loves going to shows. Being combed and doted on are her favorite things. Chappie is very big for a girl and will probably reach 15 or 16 pounds when she is full grown. She gets along well with other cats and would do well in a home with one or two others, especially males or a non dominant female. She thinks she wants to be the dominant cat in the house but with a little time will fit in nicely. You might be wondering why we would have retired or young adults available from time to time . . . why we wouldn't be keeping them ourselves. We think the 'linked' article, "Why do breeders let adult cats go?" written by Barbara C. French explains that very well. If you are interested in our cats or kittens, read the information below. If you haven't filled out an adoption questionnaire, please do so and forward to elaine@smokeycoons.com . If you would prefer, you can fax the completed questionnaire to 425-743-5387. Steps in the Adoption Process Step 1: If you are considering adopting a kitten or retired adult from SmokeyCoons, we ask that you read and agree to the following conditions as outlined in the linked documents:
Step 2: If you agree to our terms, we will need to learn more about you -- your home situation, what you're looking for, etc. We have a questionnaire ALL potential buyers must fill out and return to us before being considered as possible adopters of our babies. When responding to the adoption questionnaire, be sure to specify if you are interested in a "companion/pet" or a "breeder/show" cat.
Step 3: We will review the completed questionnaire and will let you know if we think you qualify for the next step -- a visit to our home. Step 4: Come for a visit. We encourage all members of the family to come for the visit. It is important for you to understand you will NOT be taking your companion home the day of the first visit. Step 5: If it looks as though there is a good match between you, the cat/kitten and what you've told us, we ask for a small deposit in order to hold the cat/kitten. We go over the reservation and adoption agreements and settle on a date where we can do the delivery/home inspection. Step 5: We do the home inspection and deliver the cat/kitten to you. This is the time where we 'officially' approve your application to acquire one (or more) of our cats/kittens -- after we have done the home inspection. As a reminder, we will only place our cats/kittens in clean environments; ones that will help ensure a healthy, long life for the cat/kitten. Step 6: We do follow up on placements on a regular basis. We promise not to be pests, but we do expect to be consulted from time-to-time about the cat's continued health, happiness and well-being. Return to What's New Pussycat Page Return to Home Page |
